What is your opinion of this type of people (family, spouse, gf/bf, friends, colleague etc.)?

She always disapproves and talks bad of whatever you do even when what you do is actually good for the family.

For e.g. If there are 2 choices (A and B) and you have chosen A, she will disagree and say you should have chosen B instead but if you have chosen B at first, she will say you should have chosen A.

When what you did turns out to be right/good, she would just keep quiet and never praise you as she feels it is after all your responsibility to do everything right.

However, when what you did turns out to be wrong/bad, she will eagerly and quickly jump to scold and badmouth you to other people.

She thinks her logic of acting this way is the same as Singaporeans should not be thankful to Indonesia for haze-free air because the air should rightfully be haze-free and Singaporeans should scold Indonesia if there is haze caused by fires in Indonesia.

So even when most of the things turned out right most of the time in the past, she never showed any appreciation of anything you did right but always talked bad and laughed at you whenever it turned out wrong.

She also always complains that you never listen to her as you usually reject her opinions for big issues because she is actually very ignorant and too kum gong to know and understand the intricacy of things. In terms of knowledge and exposure, you can be said to be at post-graduate qualification level and is well exposed to various aspects and complexity of life while she is only about ITE-O level or Polytechnic standard and can’t see nor understand the big picture all the time.

Even when you have not changed your stand regarding a matter, you sometimes make a 180 degrees U-turn and act in accordance to her opinion when it is regarding a trifle matter. This is because the outcomes of trifle matters are immaterial and as such, you just want to appease her and show her that you do listen to her opinions. However, she would mistakenly think you have realised your wrong and changed your stand and then she would be quick to tell other people and laugh at you derogatorily.

What is your opinion of this type of people?
