Utilising Singtel 500mbps/RT-N66U

Utilising Singtel 500mbps/RT-N66U I'm currently on Singtel's 500mbps broadband plan and using an Asus RT-N66U as my router instead of the standard singtel one.
However, my recorded internet speed from speedtest.net is not nearly as high as what Singtel advertised. Though, I must add that this is a wifi speed taken about approximately 5m away from the router. Am I fully utilising the router? I'm unfamiliar with the technical aspect of modems and would appreciate any advise! |
