check & double confirm your boarding pass upon check in at the airport check in counter!!!
On 12th Feb 17, upon check in at the SQ counter with my passport at the Amsterdam Airport for my AMS - SIN flight, I was shocked when I was issued an Economy Class Boarding Pass with a" Staff " stamped on it instead of my Business Class Boarding Pass so I query the SQ check in agent why am I downgraded to economy class and they replied me that based on their system I have booked a economy class ticket & beside that isn't it I am also a staff of SIA?
To prevent further argument, I show them my business class E-ticket then they check again & noticed that they have mistakenly check me in under the same last name as me of another passenger in the Economy Class who is a staff of SIA.
Although they promptly reissue me a correct boarding pass & luggage tag but I was shocked & disappointed that how can SIA check in agent make such a serious security mistake?
Honestly if I have not booked a Business Class seat for this trip, I might not notice the mistake they make & wondering what will happen to me if I am being arrested at the Amsterdam airport custom for using boarding pass that don't belong to me especially at this period of security sensitiveness?
So please don't that things for granted that your airline check in agent will not make mistake by issuing you a wrong boarding pass.
Don't wait till you are being arrested at the airport custom for using a boarding pass that don't belong to you then you will cry no tears!!!
