Question about Chinese culture? Hi:
I have a hypothetical question about gender-different treatment of teenagers in Chinese culture [majority of Singapore is Chinese]. Let's say there is a high school in that aforementioned location. There are 6 students playing a flash card game in which the loser get a smack on his/her wrist with the middle and index-fingers of the other players. This smack is a lot more painful that one would think. Of the 6 students, 3 are girls, and 3 are boys. The girls are 14 years of age, while the boys are 15. Here is what is noticed: Girls are allowed to hit the wrists of loser boys In the above gaming situation, will boys ever hit the wrists of loser girls? If not, then why? What would happen if a boy smacked the wrist of a loser girl? If a girl smells bad like the sh-t that results from eating rotten fish, is it then acceptable for a boy to hit her wrist?
