Is age discrimination in Tech companies real? i am concerned cos i am 33 this yr and will be hitting 40 in a couple of years. and i realised there are really no uncles and aunties type of employees (in their 40s and 50s) in my company.
my team mates are mostly in the same age range as me - late 20s to early 30s. my team manager is 37. even my senior director is like 39 only. i have friends working in Google and Apple, and its more or less the same things. so i'm wondering should i consider a second career soon? but i like the vibes and culture of working in a tech company - casual dress codes, less hierarchy & politics, the office layout is pretty & comfortable |
